A native of northern Virginia, Michelle has seen the area grow and change (including the traffic). At the University of Virginia, she received both a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry and then pursued a Masters of Science in Nursing. During that time she met and married her husband. After graduation, Michelle worked as a nurse in the Pediatric and Pediatric Transplant departments at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. While working there, Michelle then went on to receive her Masters of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University. She has the following qualifications:
- a certified RN in both the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia
- a certified Family Nurse Practitioner in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners
In her free time, Michelle enjoys watching and going to see her favorite teams play, which include the Washington Redskins, the Washington Nationals and the UVA Cavaliers. Other interests are cooking, exercising and spending time with her husband and son. She is honored to have joined the Burke Pediatrics team.
Michelle Talbert likes to imagine that she has the superpower of X-ray vision as she joins the ranks of Wonder Woman, Storm, and others.
