Masks

Everyone should "WEAR A MASK" at all times whenever outside of your house.

As demonstrated and promoted by science, wearing a mask with social distancing (not 6 feet, better 12 or more feet) and hand washing is our best strategy to avoid contracting  and/ or transmitting "Covid" and continuing this pandemic.

Early in the epidemic, any type of face covering was recommended as a "mask."  Mask protect those you contact but not "you." You are dependent on others to protect yourself.

The best masks (N95, also known as "respirators") were reserved for frontline personnel. They have been in short supply but now are becoming more available. These masks (N95) protect the wearer as well as those surrounding them.

As now it has been scientifically established that Covid is aerosolized ( spreads in air beyond 6 feet), those who must be outside their home, doing necessary shopping for example, should wear a N95 mask if and when you can get one. It fits "TIGHTLY" around your nose and mouth so that you are NOT PARTIALLY BREATHING around the mask.

KN95 masks are N95 masks manufactured in Asia. Many but not all are up to the NIOSH 95 standard. This CDC website addresses those KN95 manufactures that may not meet NIOSH standards.
